Since early childhood I’ve been passionate about two things - drawing and computers. Because of that passion, I pursued an Associates of Arts degree in the field of Computer Graphics from Cedar Valley College located in Lancaster, TX. During my time at Cedar Valley I was taught new drawing and design techniques along with a slew of creative software packages, including Flash and Adobe CS. At Cedar Valley I refined my creative skills and picked up a new set of skills, including website design. Though my collegiate education only scratched the surface of website design, it sparked a fire and I set off to learn as much as I could on my own. My self-education familiarized me with client-side languages like JavaScript and server-side languages like PHP.
Since my exit from college I have worked in the art department of Fineline Packaging and Classic Balloon as a designer and production artist. I’ve gained a keen insight to the world of pre-press production and flexographic printing. My day-to-day duties include utilizing Adobe CS for pre-press production art and designing new art for gift wrap and mylar balloons and performing color matching press checks. I also have experience designing flyers, brochures and am responsible for the maintainance of finelinepackaging.com.
I plan to continue my growth as a creative professional. I’m always seeking out my next challenge.
